The Communications Director & Team Associate position reports to the Director of Jewish Year Abroad, a study abroad program conglomerate focused on bringing Jewish-American students for a semester abroad in Israel, currently running the Thrive program at Hebrew University and Tel Aviv University, as well as the Rimon Fellows at Hebrew University. The position is based in Jerusalem and is full-time.
The Communications Director & Team Associate is responsible for coming up with strategic approaches and implementation of tasks related to Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Media, Website, Newsletters and other related tasks. This is approximately 65% of the job. In addition, the Associate will be asked to perform various administrative duties as a core member of the team. This part of the job description is flexible and will involve all other aspects of the organization, such as recruitment, fundraising, logistics, ect, as determined by the needs of the organization. This is approximately 35% of the job.
Minimum 1 year work experience in a similar position
English mother tongue level. Fluency in Hebrew is a plus.
Ability to work daily in a Jerusalem-based office
Proven social media experience
Oversee execution of various projects with minimal guidance
Strong interpersonal and social skills
Creative problem solving, quick learner and team player
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, resourcefulness,creativity and proactiveness
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
